Kano Pillars Signs Winger Bernard Ovoke on Short-Term Deal

Kano Pillars Football Club have completed the signing of winger Bernard Ovoke on a deal that runs until the end of the season, with an option for a one-year extension.

The club announced the move on Sunday, January 11, 2026, welcoming Ovoke to the four-time Nigeria league champions, popularly known as Sai Masu Gida.

Ovoke joins Pillars after leaving Nigeria Premier Football League side Enyimba International, where he parted ways with the Aba-based club on February 27, 2025.

The former Plateau United winger had joined Enyimba at the start of the season but later announced his exit on social media. 

Neither the player nor Enyimba disclosed the reason for the contract termination.

Kano Pillars expressed confidence that Ovoke will add pace and creativity to their attacking options as the season progresses.
