The Kano State Police Command has decorated six newly promoted senior police officers, who were elevated from Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).
The decoration ceremony, held at the Police Officers’ Mess in Bompai, Kano, celebrated the officers’ promotion by the Police Service Commission (PSC) on the recommendation of the Inspector-General of Police.
The promoted officers are Suleiman Jibrilla, Hussaini Yalwa Mohammed, Isiyaku Mustapha Daura, Mallam Garba Audu, Jamilu Mohammed, and Ibrahim Umar Makarfi.
“I welcome everyone to this epoch-making event,” stated Deputy Commissioner of Police, Umar Ahmed Chuso, representing the Commissioner of Police.
“On behalf of the Kano State Police Command, I congratulate the promotees and their families.”
He charged the officers to redouble their efforts and be God-fearing in their duties.
“Promotion comes with higher tasks and responsibilities,” he emphasised. “Strive for excellence and uphold the highest standards of professionalism.”
Speaking on behalf of the promoted officers, ACP Ibrahim Umar Makarfi expressed gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police and the PSC.
“We thank them for recognising our dedication and commitment,” he said.
He also thanked the Commissioner of Police and the Command’s Management Team.
“We assure you that we will continue to serve with integrity and compassion, protecting and serving our communities with dedication and professionalism,” ACP Makarfi affirmed.
The ceremony was attended by senior police officers, family members, and friends of the newly promoted officers.
