The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu), has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle involving the redeployment of two commissioners in the State Executive Council.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida, and made available to journalists on Monday in Birnin Kebbi.

According to the SSG, the reshuffle aims to strengthen governance and enhance service delivery in line with the governorโ€™s vision of repositioning the civil service for efficiency.

Under the new directive, Hon. Samaila Yakubu Augie has been redeployed to the Ministry of Health, while Hon. Haliru Aliyu Wasagu will now head the Ministry of Internal Security.

โ€œThe directive takes immediate effect and must be strictly complied with,โ€ the statement quoted the SSG as saying.

Tafida added that the governor appreciates the continued cooperation of members of the State Executive Council, whose efforts have contributed to the administrationโ€™s achievements.

โ€œGovernor Idris remains committed to peace, unity, and improved service delivery to the people of Kebbi State,โ€ he said.
