Kebbi para-badminton sensation Ibrahim B. Tukur has clinched a gold medal at the 2025 West Africa Para Badminton Championship held in Ogun State.
The achievement further cements his growing reputation as one of Nigeria’s most inspiring emerging athletes.
The announcement came at the end of the tournament, where officials confirmed Ibrahim’s victory in his category.
Ibrahim, who plays with one hand, rose to prominence less than a year ago and has since continued to impress.
A member of the CST/KBTV Badminton Club in Birnin Kebbi, he has collected multiple honours in local and national competitions.
Club officials congratulated him and praised his determination, describing him as a motivation to many others living with disabilities.
Supporters say his latest win strengthens his aspiration to become a national-level player and a symbol of resilience for people striving to excel despite physical challenges.
