Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri reach the Final stage of Presidential Cup as supporters, residents of Maiduguri praises Governor Zulum administration.

Following his zeal, encouragement and support through the Workaholic Commissioner Ministry of Youths and Sports development Comrade Saiina Buba, the desert warriors of Borno State break the silence by promoting to the Nigerian Premier League this season as well as reaching the final stage of Presidential Federation Cup.

Elkanemi Warriors Football Club at the just concluded Nigerian National League NNL Super Eight picked Nigeria Premier League ticket in group B alongside Nasarawa United which took place in Enugu.

Already, the Warriors were in Semi Final stage of Presidential Federation Cup which they also defeated Kebbi United in a penalty shoot-out by Four goals to Five in favour of Elkanemi Warriors.

The Semi Final was played at the Federal Capital territory Abuja as the neutral ground for teams.

Elkanemi Warriors are now to play against Abia Warriors in the final stage where they defeated Kano Pillars in a penalty shoot-out with the same score line on the 29 of June 2024.

It could be recalled that Elkanemi Warriors played its last Federation Cup final since 2001 which is twenty three years were it lost by two goals to nothing against Dolphins of Port Harcourt.

Football supporters and residents of the state were full of joy and happiness as well as praying for the best governor in the North East and Nigeria at large to continue serving his people with what they need.

It could also be recalled that the Borno State Ministry of Youths and Sports Development under the able leadership of Comrade Saina Buba has never missed participating in any competition in the country due to concern and support given to the Youths in the state.
