Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has appealed to the federal government for urgent intervention following the collapse of a highway bridge in the Malori/Kuskuri community due to heavy flooding.

Governor Mohammed made the appeal during an on-the-spot assessment of the damaged bridge on Wednesday.

He expressed deep concern over the incident, emphasizing the bridge’s crucial role in facilitating transportation and economic activities in the state.

The governor pledged the state government’s support to the affected community while assuring residents that his administration would prioritize the restoration of essential infrastructure.

He further called on the people to continue supporting his government as it embarks on more development projects.
