Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has etched his name in the record books by becoming one of the oldest goalscorers in Copa del Rey history.

The Croatian maestro scored against Deportiva Minera at the age of 39 years and three months, further solidifying his legendary status in Spanish football.

Interestingly, Modric’s goal was not only a historic milestone but also his first-ever goal in the prestigious domestic cup competition.

His strike helped Real Madrid secure victory while marking another chapter in his illustrious career.

This achievement adds to Modric’s impressive list of records, as he recently became Real Madrid’s oldest goalscorer in official competitions, surpassing the legendary Ferenc Puskas.

The oldest goalscorer in Copa del Rey history remains Juan Jose Camacho, who scored at the age of 40 in 2005.
