Nigerian Air Force (NAF) airstrikes have neutralised numerous terrorists and destroyed three gun trucks in the Timbuktu Triangle region, a known insurgent stronghold.
The operation, conducted under Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), targeted a terrorist enclave north of Chiralia, according to a statement released by Group Captain Kabiru Ali.
Acting on intelligence that three gun trucks were moving from Sabon Gari toward Chiralia, NAF deployed fighter jets.

“Upon arrival at the target location, NAF pilots identified multiple terrorists and their 3 gun trucks concealed under trees,” Ali stated.
The airstrikes resulted in the destruction of two gun trucks, followed by a subsequent strike that obliterated the third.
“The overwhelming firepower set all targeted vehicles ablaze, while scores of terrorists attempting to flee were neutralised in the aftermath,” Ali added.
The NAF emphasised its commitment to disrupting terrorist activities and providing crucial air support to ground forces in the northeast.
