Nigerian Air Force Air strikes destroyed a suspected Improvised Explosive Device (IED) factory at Grazah in the Mandara Mountains.
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has conducted air strikes on a suspected Improvised Explosive Device (IED) factory and terrorist enclave at Grazah in the Mandara Mountains.
According to a statement by Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, Director of Public Relations and Information, the air strikes were carried out on August 2, 2024, following intelligence reports of a possible IED factory and storage area for other logistics.
The location had been under surveillance for weeks, with observations of various installations and activities consistent with those protecting a strategic location.

Two gun trucks were also sighted near the suspected IED factory.
The air strikes effectively destroyed the suspected IED factory, the two gun trucks, and neutralized several terrorists.
The NAF’s action is part of Operation Hadin Kai, aimed at combating terrorism in the region.
The strikes come amid concerns over recent attacks on innocent civilians in Borno State using IEDs and suicide bombers.
The NAF’s efforts are focused on achieving the mandate of Operation Hadin Kai and ensuring the security of the region.
