The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has established a technical committee to assess the CVST Pharmacy Application for potential use in its Hajj medical operations.
The Chairman/CEO of NAHCON, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, on Tuesday received a presentation of the app, designed to improve medication management and patient record-keeping, from CVST Pharmacy Limited.
“We commend the initiative, but no approval has been granted at this stage,” Professor Usman clarified.
“A technical committee will evaluate the appโs alignment with our medical teamโs service conditions, operational requirements, and cost implications.”
Commissioner of Operations, Prince Anofiu Elegushi, emphasised the need for further collaboration with CVST Pharmacy Limited to assess the app’s feasibility.
“We must ensure the app meets our specific needs,” Elegushi stated.
NAHCONโs Head of ICT, Shehu Raji, noted that the commission already uses the “Hajj Companion” app, which performs similar functions but lacks AI capabilities.
“We are interested in exploring further collaborations and integrating advanced technologies,” Raji said.
Medical staff provided feedback on security, offline functionality, and system integration.
The committeeโs recommendations will determine the final decision on the appโs adoption.
