The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has signed a 2026 Hajj service agreement with Rawaf Mina Company and licensed tour operators, marking a key step in preparations for next yearโ€™s pilgrimage.

The announcement was contained in a statement issued on 15 November 2025 by Ahmad Muazu, Technical Assistant (Media) to the NAHCON Chairman.

The agreement was endorsed in Ummul Judd, Makkah, by NAHCON Chairman/CEO, Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Usman, and Rawaf Mina CEO, Zuhair Abdel Hamid Sadayo.

Prof. Usman reminded the service provider that Nigerian pilgrims expect high-quality services.

โ€œPilgrims demand value for money, and we expect Rawaf Mina to meet those standards,โ€ he said.

He noted that the companyโ€™s previous challenges had been documented and stressed the need for improved performance and adherence to timelines.

โ€œRawaf Mina is now our partner in progress. We expect you to exceed last yearโ€™s performance,โ€ he added.

Commissioner of Operations, Prince Anofiu Olarenwaju Elegushi, reaffirmed NAHCONโ€™s regulatory role.

He said, โ€œTour operators are major partners, but NAHCON will ensure pilgrims are well served.โ€

Responding, Rawaf Mina CEO Sadayo pledged to surpass expectations. โ€œWe will form a technical team to address all concerns and make Nigerian pilgrims smile,โ€ he assured.

The President of the Association for Hajj and Umrah Operators of Nigeria (AHUON), Abdullateef Yusuf Ekundayo, thanked NAHCON for its support and promised full collaboration.

โ€œWe are ready to work hand in hand for a successful operation,โ€ he said.

The ceremony was witnessed by industry leaders, including Muhammad Auwal of HUTON.

NAHCON says the agreement strengthens its commitment to ensuring seamless and spiritually fulfilling Hajj services for Nigerians.
