Nasarawa Governor Sacks All Special Advisers and Aides

Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has sacked all his special advisers, senior special assistants, special assistants, and personal assistants, citing their inability to effectively implement government policies and programmes.

The governor announced the sackings on Friday during the swearing-in ceremony of Barrister Labaran Shuaibu Magaji as the new Secretary to the State Government and Commodore Yahaya Owuna (rtd) as the sole administrator of Udege Administrative Area.

The ceremony was held at the Government House in Lafia.

Governor Sule attributed the decision to the aides’ poor performance, stating that it was necessary to relieve them of their duties to enable the government to realign its political offices.

He expressed appreciation for their efforts and encouraged them to continue supporting the development of Nasarawa State.

The sackings take immediate effect, forming part of Governor Sule’s broader strategy to strengthen governance and enhance service delivery in the state.

This move follows the recent dissolution of the state executive council, which included the commissioners and the Secretary to the State Government.

In a related development, Governor Sule inaugurated Barrister Labaran Shuaibu Magaji as the new Secretary to the State Government, praising his antecedents, loyalty, and proven performance of excellence.

He expressed confidence that Magaji would competently serve the administration and the government of Nasarawa State.
