The Flag Officer Commanding, Special Operations Command (SOC) of the Nigerian Navy, Rear Admiral Olusegun Soyemi, has visited the Headquarters of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) in Maiduguri, Borno State.

In a statement by Sani Uba, Media Information Officer, Joint Task Force North East Operation Hadin Kai disclosed that Soyemi’s visit was to assess ongoing joint military operations in the Northeast.

The two-day visit, which took place from November 12 to 13, focused on enhancing collaboration among the Armed Forces and improving operational effectiveness in the fight against insurgency and terrorism.

Rear Admiral Soyemi said the visit was an opportunity to evaluate the Navyโ€™s contributions and strengthen coordination with other military components.

โ€œJointness is the key to success in this theatre. Our combined efforts enhance flexibility, resilience, and information dominance,โ€ he stated.

He explained that the Nigerian Navyโ€™s intervention through the Special Operations Command and the Naval Base Lake Chad would serve as a โ€œforce multiplierโ€ in counterterrorism operations and contribute to economic growth in the region.

โ€œThe Nigerian Navy will continue to align its operations with national security objectives and ensure effective command and control across all fronts,โ€ Soyemi added.

The Theatre Commander, Operation Hadin Kai, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, commended the Navy for its sustained support.

โ€œThe maritime component has greatly improved our operational reach. Securing our waters is not only vital for security but also for economic stability,โ€ he said.

The visit featured operational briefings, strategic discussions, and the presentation of a souvenir to Rear Admiral Soyemi.
