NDLEA Arrests 2 with Large Opioid Consignment in Adamawa

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) says it’s operatives have arrested of two suspects on Sunday, May 12th, 2024.

The suspects were apprehended on Monday, May 6th, along Mubi-Yola road, Adamawa state for attempting to transport a large consignment of opioids across the border to Garua, Cameroon.

The seized drugs include 59,106 pills of tramadol and different quantities of codeine syrup and rohypnol.

Those arrested were identified as Abubakar Auwal, 39, and Adamu Abubakar, 25, also known as Bamanga, a suspected trans-border trafficker.
