NEDC, Adamawa First Lady Strengthen Partnership on Education, Women Empowerment

The North East Development Commission (NEDC) and the Office of the Wife of the Adamawa State Governor have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening collaboration in education, healthcare, women’s empowerment, and community development.

This followed a courtesy visit by the Adamawa State Coordinator of NEDC, Barr. Khalifa M. Lawan, to the wife of the governor, Hajiya Lami Ahmadu Fintiri, at the Government House, Yola.

During the visit, Barr. Lawan commended Hajiya Fintiri for her consistent humanitarian initiatives and advocacy for women and children, assuring that the Commission would continue to support Adamawa State’s development drive.

“We are committed to deepening our collaboration with the Office of Her Excellency to implement life-changing programmes that will impact women, children, and communities across the state,” Lawan said.

In her remarks, Hajiya Lami Fintiri expressed appreciation for the NEDC’s ongoing interventions, pledging to sustain the partnership to deliver more impactful projects.

“Our shared vision is to uplift women, empower the youth, and improve access to quality education and healthcare for all,” she stated.
