The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has been elected as the new National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
His emergence followed a nomination by the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Governor Hope Uzodimma.
The motion for Yilwatda’s election was seconded by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, during a meeting of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC).
The motion was subsequently put to a voice vote by the NEC members and passed, confirming Yilwatda as the new party helmsman.
