Commissioner of Police (CP) Sani-Omolori Aliyu has assumed duty as the 46th police commissioner in Bauchi State.
This was disclosed in a statement by CSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, Police Public Relations Officer, Bauchi State Command.
CP Aliyu succeeds AIG Auwal Musa Muhammad, who was promoted and reassigned.
He pledged “professionalism, dedication, and a results-driven approach” to his new role.
“I express profound gratitude to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, for the trust and confidence placed in me,” CP Aliyu stated, the Bauchi State Police Command spokesperson.
CP Aliyu, born in Kogi State, has over 30 years of police service. He has held various senior positions across Nigeria.
His experience includes roles in Katsina, Edo, Kaduna, Nasarawa, FCT, and Gombe States. He also served as Area Commander in Bauchi.
CP Aliyu has undergone extensive training, including the Senior Executive Course at NIPSS, earning him the title ‘mni’.
He aims to strengthen security and community engagement in Bauchi. He is married with children and enjoys Scrabble and tennis.
