ThinkLab Charity Foundation, an initiative of ThinkLab Group Limited, has sponsored the JAMB registration of 780 outstanding students in public secondary schools across Borno State.
Delivering his speech during the cheque presentation ceremony in Maiduguri on Thursday, the Director General of ThinkLab Charity Foundation, Jibril Muhammed, emphasised the foundation’s unwavering commitment to education as a tool for transformation and development.
Jibril noted that financial constraints should never be a barrier to success, reaffirming the foundation’s mission to support bright and deserving students.
The Director General stated that this year’s sponsorship extends to the 10 best-performing students from each public secondary school in Borno State, ensuring that the talented individuals have the opportunity to pursue higher education without financial hindrance.
Receiving the cheque on behalf of the state government, the Commissioner for Education, Engineer Lawan Abba Wakilbe, expressed profound appreciation for ThinkLab Charity Foundation’s efforts.
He commended Dr. Sa’id Alkali Kori for his unwavering support towards education and youth empowerment, pledging the state government’s continued partnership with the foundation.
“Our doors are always open for collaborations, especially in youth training and entrepreneurship. We are ready to provide maximum support to ensure sustainable educational and economic growth in Borno State,” the Commissioner stated.
As the ceremony concluded, the ThinkLab Charity Foundation reaffirmed its call for collective responsibility in advancing education.
The foundation urged the government, private organisations, and individuals to support similar initiatives to create a brighter future for all.
“Every great achievement starts with an opportunity. Today, we provide that opportunity, and we look forward to seeing these students rise to greatness,” the Director General stated.
The event was attended by the Director of Schools, school principals, teachers, parents, and other guests, all of whom applauded the initiative and its impact on the future of education in Borno State.
