Niger Gov. Bago Announces New General Hospital for Paiko

Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has announced plans to construct a new general hospital in Paiko, the headquarters of the Paikoro Local Government Area.

to the Governor on Friday disclosed in a statement.
 
According to the statement, Governor Bago, during a visit to the area, said the hospital is crucial to address the healthcare needs of the growing population. 
 
“Considering its size and strategic location, the construction of the General Hospital in Paiko has become imperative,” Governor Bago said.
 
“It will be instrumental in addressing emergencies such as accidents.”
 
He revealed that the new hospital will be built on the site of a 50-bed capacity hospital currently under construction by Senator Mohammed Sani Musa, with the state government adding 100 more beds to create a fully fledged general hospital.
 
Governor Bago also announced plans to construct the Kwakuti-Adunu-Chinbi-Ishau road and build new waterworks in Paiko to address the challenges of potable water facing the people.
 
“I appreciate Senator Sani Musa for the numerous projects he is executing for his people, such as roads, schools, healthcare, and scholarships for 22 students to study in Singapore,” Governor Bago said.
 
The governor also expressed gratitude to the member representing the Bosso/Paikoro Federal Constituency, Baraje Yusuf Kure, for announcing his support for infrastructural development in the state.
 
Senator Sani Musa commended Governor Bago for the remarkable projects ongoing in the Paikoro Local Government Area and urged the people to continue to support the administration. 
 
“I appreciate the efforts of the farmer governor and announce my support of N1 billion for infrastructural development in the state,” Representative Kure said.
 
The Chairman of Paikoro Local Government Area, Aminu Yandayi, and former Minister of State, Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Zubairu Dada, also expressed their gratitude to the Governor for his commitment to the development of the area.
