Nigeria has deported 51 foreign nationals convicted of cyber-terrorism and internet fraud, officials said Tuesday.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission said the group included 50 Chinese citizens and one Tunisian, bringing total deportations in the ongoing exercise to 102 since August 15.
โThese convicts were part of one of the largest foreign-led cybercrime syndicates uncovered in Lagos,โ the commission said in a statement.
The Nigerian Immigration Service confirmed more deportations are planned in the coming days.
