Nigeria Police Force, PSC Agree On Recruitment Merit List

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and the Police Service Commission (PSC) have finalized the merit list for the recruitment of Police Constables, following a collaborative effort to ensure a transparent and merit-based process.

This is contained in a statement released by ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Force Public Relations Officer, Force Headquarters, Abuja.

Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, expressed satisfaction with the outcome, stating that the agreement demonstrates the commitment of both organizations to work together in the best interest of the country.

He also expressed confidence that the new recruits will contribute significantly to the federal government’s mission to create employment opportunities, boost internal security, and maintain law and order.

Training for the newly recruited officers is scheduled to commence on August 10, 2024, and will focus on equipping them with modern policing skills and knowledge.

The program will cover topics such as policing ethics, community policing, ICT, artificial intelligence, human relations, and attitudinal and behavioral change.

The Inspector General of Police thanked all stakeholders and the general public for their patience and support throughout the recruitment process.
