The Nigeria Police Force has announced plans to train 10,000 newly recruited officers across its 16 colleges and training schools nationwide.
The intensive training is set to commence today Saturday, August 10, 2024.
In a bid to enhance the capacity and professionalism of the force, the Inspector-General of Police has charged commandants of the training institutions to instill discipline, integrity, and human rights consciousness in the recruits.
The training is expected to equip the officers with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively discharge their duties and maintain law and order.
The police force has reiterated its commitment to reforming the institution and building a more efficient and citizen-friendly police force.
