Pilgrims Advised to Remember Kano State and Nigeria in Prayers

The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa,has urged intending pilgrims from the state to make careful and responsible use of the facilities provided to them in Saudi Arabia.

He made this appeal during a supervisory visit to various Hajj Induction Course Centers across the state.

In a statement signed and made available to newsmen by Public Relations officer of the Board Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi.

Said Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u, the Board has already provided a two-storey building capable of accommodating 3,205 pilgrims.He emphasized the importance of maintaining proper environmental sanitation in and around the facilities.

Representing the Director General during the visit, a Board Member, Sheikh Tijjani Sani Maihula, called on all intending pilgrims to fully participate in the Hajj Induction Course to ensure they gain the knowledge needed to perform Hajj successfully.

Also speaking, another Board Member, Hajiya Aisha Munir Matawalle, highlighted the efforts of the Kano State Government under the able leadership of His Excellency, Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf.

She stated that the government has already provided essential items for the intending pilgrims, including hand luggage, uniforms for both men and women, and identification rings, all of which will be distributed soon.

Hajiya Aisha Matawalle further advised the pilgrims to remember Kano State and Nigeria in their prayers while in the Holy Land.

In his remarks, the Director of Propagation, Education, and Enlightenment, Alhaji Murtala Lawan Sani, warned the pilgrims against carrying contraband or prohibited items to the Holy Land.He stressed that anyone found in possession of such items will bear full responsibility for the consequences.

Alhaji Murtala Lawan Sani also thanked the Director General for organizing the induction tour, which has served to educate and enlighten the intending pilgrims.

Others who spoke during the visit included the Director of the Hajj Savings Scheme, the Deputy Director of Monitoring, and the Health Matters Coordinator.

The Hajj Induction Course Centers visited during the tour included those in Rimin Gado, Kumbotso, and Dala local government areas.
