The Gombe State Police Command has imposed a curfew from 12:00 AM to 5:00 AM, effective February 7, 2025, to address rising security concerns in the state.
This is contained in a statement issued by DSP Buhari Abdullahi, Police Public Relations Officer, Gombe state police command on Thursday.
“Intelligence reports indicate a rise in threats to the safety and security of our citizens,” stated the statement.
“This measure is necessary to curb these threats and ensure the safety of all residents.”
The Command urged the public to cooperate with the curfew and advised parents/guardians to caution their wards.
“The Command prioritizes the safety and security of the citizens and urges members of the Public to cooperate with the Police in making the State a safe place to thrive,” the police statement read.
