The Bauchi State Police Command has rescued three kidnapped victims and arrested six suspects following a coordinated security operation in Euga village, Toro Local Government Area.
The Commandโs spokesperson, CSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, disclosed this in a statement issued on October 14, 2025, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu.
According to Wakil, the operation was launched around 12:01 a.m. on September 29, 2025, after a distress call from a community member reported that gunmen had abducted three men identified as Idi Umar, Idi Lawan, and Musa Lawal.
โA joint team of the Toro Area Command, Toro Division, Nabordo Division, and local security partners swiftly responded and tracked the suspects to the outskirts of the village,โ Wakil said. โTheir coordinated effort led to the safe rescue of the victims without harm.โ
The police also arrested six suspects linked to the abduction โ Abubakar Usman, Adamu Alo, Abubakar Aliyu, Umar Habu, Abubakar Mamman Abubakar, and Shehu Sambo โ all of whom are currently under investigation.
โThe victims have been reunited with their families and are in good health,โ the PPRO added.
Wakil further stated that the suspects would be transferred to the Anti-Kidnapping Unit (AKU) in Bauchi for profiling and subsequent prosecution.
CP Aliyu commended the vigilance of the community and reaffirmed the Commandโs commitment to protecting lives and property across Bauchi State.
โWe urge residents to remain security-conscious and share timely information that can assist the police in curbing crime,โ he said.
