The English Premier League has announced it will introduce semi-automated offside technology for matches beginning April 12, 2025.
This decision follows successful non-live testing conducted in Premier League games and during the FA Cup fifth round in late February.
The league aims to improve the speed and accuracy of offside decisions, particularly in close-call situations, by utilising the technology.

According to reports, the system will provide officials with clearer and more efficient tools to determine offside positions.
Semi-automated offside technology was first implemented at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and is currently used in other major European leagues, including Serie A, La Liga, and the Champions League.
