President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Super Eagles on their 4-1 victory against Gabon in a FIFA World Cup qualifier.

This was according to a statement released on November 13, 2025, by his Special Adviser on Media & Publicity, Bayo Onanuga.

The president described the win as “a clear expression of the Nigerian character that rises, adapts, and prevails,” adding that the victory strengthens the collective resolve to secure a place at the World Cup.

He commended the players, coaching staff, and the technical crew for their commitment, while also praising the millions of Nigerians supporting the team.

In a direct message to the squad, Tinubu urged them to remain focused on the remaining qualifiers.

“This is the true Nigerian spirit of resilience against all odds,” the president said.

“Do not stop until you secure a qualification. Super Eagles, keep soaring.” Tinubu concluded.
