President Bola Tinubu has pledged to continue working and praying for Nigeria’s peace and stability.
Speaking after a special Juma’ah prayer marking his 73rd birthday, Tinubu thanked God for his blessings.
“I feel good. I feel happy. I thank the Almighty Allah, who has protected us and continues to answer our prayers,” he said, as relayed by his Special Adviser, Bayo Onanuga.
The president emphasised the safety and welfare of Nigerians as his priority. He prayed for national stability and peace.
“The word for all of us is hard work,” Tinubu stated. “You work harder, and you pray harder. That’s the inspiration I got from today’s sermon.”
Dr Abdulkadir Salman Solagberu, Malami Ubandoma of Ilorin Emirate, led the prayers, assuring Tinubu of continued support. He prayed for the president’s health and wisdom.
Imam Muhammad Kabir Adam thanked Tinubu and his wife for their Ramadan generosity. He urged Muslims to continue praying for the nation. “Mr President, Allah is with you, and you will succeed,” he declared.
The prayers were attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, other top government officials, and family members.
