President Tinubu Vows to Promote Rule of Law, Tolerate Dissenting Voices

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his commitment to upholding the rule of law, separation of powers, and tolerance of dissenting views.

He made this promise at the Nigerian Bar Association’s (NBA) Annual General Conference in Lagos, where he was represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
 
The President acknowledged the NBA’s role in championing democratic ideals and promoting the rule of law.
 
He assured that his administration would continue to prioritise judicial reforms, citing recent progress in rebuilding the nation.
 
President Tinubu also expressed confidence that his policies and actions would soon bring relief to Nigerians, despite the current challenges.
 
He emphasised the need for collective effort to achieve sustainable development and urged citizens to join hands with his administration.
 
The event featured keynote addresses by the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, and Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The NBA President, Mr. Yakubu Maikyau (SAN), assured that the bar would continue to work for justice in Nigeria.
 
Dignitaries present included Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang; former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama; and representatives of the Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives.
