The Bauchi State Police Command, led by Commissioner of Police CP Auwal Mohammed Musa, has assured the public of its commitment to ensuring safety and security during the nationwide protest scheduled for August 1, 2024.
This is contained in a statement by SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Bauchi State Command.
The Command has put in place extensive security measures, including the deployment of tactical teams, uniformed and plainclothes personnel, and intelligence assets to protect vulnerable areas.
Protesters are urged to provide essential details to the Commissioner of Police, including proposed protest routes, assembly points, duration, and leadership information, to prevent criminal elements from hijacking the peaceful protest.
The Command emphasizes the importance of upholding peace and stability within the state and advises citizens against engaging in activities that may threaten public peace.
The public is encouraged to provide useful information to assist in making the state secure, and to report any suspicious individuals or objects to the nearest police station or the Bauchi State Police Control Room through: 08151849417 or 09053872273.
