Protest: DIG Bala Chiroma Visits Bauchi, Conducts On-the-Spot Assessment

The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) in charge of Administration and Finance, Bala Ciroma, has arrived in Bauchi State to assess the security situation following the outbreak of nationwide protests. 
 
Accompanied by the Assistant Inspector General of Police for Zone 12, Julius Alawari, and the Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, Auwal Musa Mohammed, the DIG visited key security checkpoints across the state, including Azare town, which is currently under curfew.
 
DIG Bala reiterated the police force’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and community engagement. 
 
The Nigerian Police Force remains dedicated to collaborating with all stakeholders to achieve a peaceful resolution to the ongoing protests.
 
In a statement by Bauchi State Police’s mouthpiece, SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, the command emphasised its commitment to maintaining law and order while assuring the public of transparency and accountability. 
 
The force also pledged to work collaboratively with stakeholders to address the concerns that have triggered the protests.
