The Shehu of Dikwa, Alhaji Ibrahim Ibn Umar Ibrahim Elkanemi CON, was inaugurated as the pioneer Chancellor of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila-Orangun (FUSHI) during the institution’s 2nd Matriculation ceremony for the 2023/2024 academic session.

The ceremony, which took place on Thursday, May 9th, 2024, at the university’s Multi-Purpose Hall, saw the Shehu expressing his gratitude to the university’s management and pledging his commitment to serve diligently.

“I pledge to serve diligently, advocate for your academic pursuits, personal development, and your aspirations,” the Shehu said, addressing the new students. “Together, we will strive to create an environment that fosters intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and a spirit of innovation.”

He continued, “Today, you embark on a journey of discovery, growth and transformation. Each one of you represents the promise of the future and I have no doubt that you will leave an indelible mark on this institution, the nation and the world at large.”

The Shehu concluded the ceremony by offering prayers for peace and stability across Nigeria, recognizing their importance for national development.
