Shettima Condoles Jingir’s Family in Jos, Extends Tinubu’s Sympathies

Vice President Kashim Shettima has travelled to Jos to offer condolences to the family of Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir following the passing of Sheikh Saidu Hassan Jingir.

Arriving at the Jingir residence, the Vice President conveyed the profound sympathy of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the entire federal government, acknowledging the late Sheikh’s significant contributions to religious harmony and national development.

The Vice President, who was received at Yakubu Gowon Airport, Jos, by the Deputy Governor of Plateau State, Her Excellency, Mrs. Josephine Piyo, was accompanied by a high-level delegation.

“We are here to share in your grief and to honour the memory of a truly remarkable man,” Vice President Shettima stated, addressing the Jingir family.

“Sheikh Saidu Hassan Jingir was a pillar of our community, a man of peace, and a champion of religious tolerance. His contributions to national development will not be forgotten.”

He emphasised the deep respect held for the late Sheikh by President Tinubu and the federal government.

“President Tinubu sends his heartfelt condolences,” the Vice President reiterated. “We understand the magnitude of your loss, and we stand with you during this difficult time.”

The late Sheikh Saidu Hassan Jingir was widely respected for his efforts in promoting interfaith dialogue and understanding.

The vice president was accompanied by a powerful delegation during his visit, including Deputy Chief of Staff to the President (Office of the Vice President), Senator Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia; former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Wase; Minister of State for Regional Development, Uba Maigari Ahmadu; and Special Adviser to the President on General Duties (Office of the Vice President), Aliyu Modibbo Umar.
