In a move aimed at restoring normalcy and development in areas affected by conflict, Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, announced the launch of an endowment fund.
The fund, which will cater to Takum and other crisis-torn communities, is intended to support infrastructure development, education, healthcare, and economic empowerment, with a particular focus on youth and women.
“This fund serves as an instrument to rebuild Takum and other conflict-affected areas,” Governor Kefas said.
“It will channel resources towards infrastructure, education, healthcare, and economic opportunities, particularly for our youth and women.”
The governor emphasized his commitment to traditional leadership and rebuilding Takum for the future. The launch date for the endowment fund is yet to be announced, but residents are urged to participate actively and contribute to the revitalization of their communities.
This initiative is seen as a positive step towards restoring the lost glory of Takum, a region that has suffered from past conflicts and violence.
The endowment fund is expected to be a transformative tool, fostering capacity building and progress across various sectors.
Governor Kefas has received praise for this significant move, with many commending his unwavering commitment to the “moving forward” agenda.
The expectation is that Takum and other affected areas will soon witness positive transformations, rebuilding infrastructure and propelling them back into the news for the right reasons.
