The Taraba state Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas has inaugurated the thirteen-man committee for the distribution of farming inputs and implements.
The Inauguration which was done by the State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Amini Alkali on behalf of the Governor took place at the chamber of the Deputy Governor’s office in Jalingo.
The Taraba state Governor Dr Agbu Kefas Represented by his Deputy Alh Aminu Abdullahi Alkali while inaugurating the thirteen-man committee for the distribution of farming inputs and implements informed members that integrity and fairness are not only expected but demanded by the Administration.
The Governor emphasized the important role of the committee and charged them to work in line with the policies and programmes of the present administration for food security.
Responding, the chairman of the thirteen-man committee for the distribution of farming inputs and implements, Professor Nicolas Nemesan who is the Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Taraba State, assured of transparency and accountability as far as the committee is concerned.
The chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Prince Gara Nuga who represents the youth in the committee described the Agricultural policies of the Governor as the best for a bumper harvest and called on the youth to venture into farming for self-reliance.
