The University of Maiduguri loses  Professor Mustapha Kokori, a respected figure of the Department of Biological Sciences.

Professor Kokori passed away on Saturday, May 18th, 2024.

Details surrounding Professor Kokori’s passing are not yet publicly known at time of press, and the University spokesman couldn’t be reached.

According to source close to the deceased family, the burial rites is scheduled for Sunday, May 19th, 9 am, at his family home in Fezan, Maiduguri.

Professor Kokori previously served as the Head of the Department of Biological Sciences and as the Dean of the Faculty of Science at the university.

Professor Kokori’s contributions to the field of biological sciences and the University of Maiduguri will be deeply missed.
