Veteran Journalist Yusuf Buba Steps Down as Amana FM Gella GM

Veteran journalist Yusuf Buba has announced his voluntary resignation from his position as the General Manager of Amana FM Gella 88.7 Mubi South, Adamawa State, effective April 1st, 2025.

In a statement released to stakeholders and the general public, Buba expressed a “mix of sadness and gratitude” as he departs the broadcast station, citing personal reasons for his decision.

Buba conveyed his “deepest appreciation” to the Managing Director/CEO of Amana FM Gella, Hon. Mohamed Mamman Dumama, as well as the management and staff of the station for their support and collaboration throughout his tenure.

He acknowledged the opportunities he was given to contribute to the organisation’s growth and success.

“I appreciate the trust and confidence you have placed in me, and I’m proud of the work we’ve accomplished together,” Buba stated. 

“I will always cherish the memories and experiences gained during my time in Amana FM Gella.”

The veteran journalist concluded his statement by thanking the organisation for the opportunity to serve and wishing Amana FM Gella continued success and growth in the future.

His departure marks the end of a significant chapter for the radio station and for Buba’s long-standing career in the media industry.
