Vice President Kashim Shettima made a compassionate visit to Maiduguri on Friday night, where he was warmly received by Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum.
The Vice President’s visit was a gesture of sympathy and support to the family of Honorable Adamu Lawan Zaufanjinba, a former commissioner who served under his administration, following the passing of his mother, Hajja Fatima Lawan, on Thursday.
VP Shettima, who shared a close working relationship with Hon. Zaufanjinba during his tenure as Borno State Governor, paid his respects to the grieving family and offered his heartfelt condolences.
He joined in prayers for the deceased, seeking eternal peace and tranquility for her soul. The prayers also asked for divine strength and fortitude for the family to bear the irreparable loss.
In a message of condolence, VP Shettima prayed that Almighty Allah grants Hajja Fatima Lawan the highest place in paradise, Al-Jannatul Firdaus, and comforts her family during this difficult time. He also expressed his support and solidarity with the family, acknowledging the significant impact of their loss.
