The Fedaral Wukari University Teaching Hospital in Taraba State has appealed to the Nigerian government for a takeoff grant to support its operations and development.
Professor Daniel Zanyu Egah, the Acting Chief Medical Director (CMD), highlighted the significance of federal funding in ensuring the hospital’s ability to deliver high-quality healthcare services to the people of Taraba and surrounding areas.
Professor Egah emphasized that federal support is essential for the hospital’s continued growth.
He pointed to the rising number of patients seeking treatment at the facility, with 400 deliveries recorded between January and May 2024. This surge reflects the growing importance of the teaching hospital within Taraba’s healthcare system.
