Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC) has announced significant progress in restoring power supply to Yola, Taraba and Damaturu and across its network following a prolonged outage.

In a press release, YEDC attributed the outage to a 330kV transmission line issue. They  commended their team of engineers who, in collaboration with the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), have been working diligently to recover and stabilize the supply.

“We are happy to inform our esteemed customers that power supply has been successfully restored to Yola, Taraba and Damaturu,” the statement said.  “All aspects of the network are being restored gradually.”

The company acknowledged that some customers are yet to have their power restored and urged them for continued patience.  “We kindly require more patience from our customers that are yet to receive supply. We are on it!”

YEDC expressed their appreciation to customers for their understanding during the outage and promised to deliver maximum supply for all customers according to their designated bands.
