Yobe Governor Buni Leads Dignitaries for Emir Of Tikau’s Funeral 

Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, led a delegation of dignitaries to pay their respects at the funeral prayer for the late Emir of Tikau, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Ibn Grema.

The Emir died on Friday at the Specialist Hospital Potiskum following a proctacted illness.

The funeral was held today at the Emir’s palace in Sabon Garin Nangere.

Governor Buni expressed his deep sorrow at the Emir’s passing, calling it a significant loss for the Tikau Emirate, Yobe State, and the entire nation. He praised the Emir’s wisdom, experience, and dedication to his people.

“He was a leader who cherished peace, fairness, and justice,” Governor Buni said. “He was deeply committed to the well-being of his people and the development of Tikau Emirate.”

The Governor offered his heartfelt condolences and prayers to the Emir’s family and the Tikau community. He prayed for Allah’s mercy and for the Emir’s soul to find eternal rest.

The funeral prayer was attended by a large number of mourners, including Speaker of the Yobe State House of Assembly, Senator representing Yobe Zone B, emirs, members of the National Assembly, state assembly members, government officials, and representatives of the business community. All joined in offering their prayers and condolences.
