The Zamfara State Police Command, marking National Police Day, conducted a free medical outreach at Sombo Secondary School in Gusau on April 4, 2025.
Led by Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba, the outreach provided a range of essential medical services delivered by police medical professionals.
Services included general health consultations, HIV and hepatitis screenings, blood pressure and glucose checks, treatment of common ailments, medication distribution, and personalised health counselling. Educational sessions on disease prevention were also held.
“Beyond safeguarding lives and property, we’re committed to initiatives that directly improve community welfare. Today’s turnout demonstrates the value of such partnerships,” stated CP Maikaba, highlighting the command’s dedication to holistic public service.
Attendees expressed appreciation for the programme and called for regular health-focused outreaches.
The command acknowledged the support of the public, media, and medical personnel in ensuring the event’s success.
The Zamfara State Police Command reiterated its commitment to bridging policing with community development initiatives as National Police Day celebrations continue.
