Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has approved the appointment of Abdulmajid Rabiu Anka as the new Deputy Chief of Staff (DCoS) of the Government House, Gusau. The appointment is effective immediately.

The announcement was made by the Secretary to the Zamfara State Government, Malam Abubakar Mohammad Nakwada, on Friday.

Anka replaces Aminu Almajir, who has been appointed permanent secretary in the state’s civil service.

Abdulmajid Anka holds a master’s degree in biochemistry from Kazan State University, Russian Federation, and a bachelor’s degree from the same institution. 

He also has a Certificate of Proficiency in the Russian Language from Voronezh State University, Russian Federation.

Anka has experience in both the private and public sectors, including roles at Western Goldfield Group Limited, NAFDAC, and the Solid Minerals Development Fund. 

Prior to this appointment, he served as Senior Special Assistant in the Office of the Executive Governor.
