Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State has announced the appointment of a 13-member delegation to represent the state government at the 2024 Christian Pilgrimage to Jerusalem.
 
A press release from Baba Sheikh Haruna, Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Governor, stated that the delegation will be led by Bishop Dr. John Bakeni. Other members include prominent figures such as Barr. Simon Malgwi, Hon. Tarpaya Asarya, and Hon. Samson Yaksa Dibal. 
 
The delegation also features a diverse range of representatives, including Engr. Ngita Hassan Mshelia, Mrs. Lydia Gora, and Mrs. Wasini Yakubu. Hon. Kwapchi Bata, Ugochukwu Oko Ike, Engr. Ngita Hassan Mshelia, and Mrs. Lydia Gora. Also on the delegation are Mrs. Wasini Yakubu, Mr. Hassan Anjili Malgwi, Hon. Christopher Godwin Akaba, Elder Lawan Rangi Ndirbita, and Luka Musa Apagu, who will serve as the secretary of the delegation.
 
The statement highlighted that the delegation’s primary function is to ensure the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage for Borno’s Christian residents.
