Borno State Governor Babagana Umara Zulum hailed the 2024 Hajj pilgrimage as the “most successful and well-organized” in recent history.
Zulum arrived at the Maiduguri International Airport after his annual vacation and spoke to reporters. “I am incredibly impressed by the smooth operation of this year’s Hajj,” he said. “We experienced far fewer difficulties and much better coordination compared to past years.”
The Governor commended the Borno State Amirul Hajj Committee, led by Senator Kaka Shehu Lawan, for their “tireless efforts” in ensuring the safety, well-being, and spiritual enrichment of Borno pilgrims. He also commended the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria for their efficient management and logistical support.
Concerns regarding security logistics were effectively addressed by the Amirul Hajj Committee, guaranteeing a safe and unforgettable Hajj experience for Borno State pilgrims.
