The wife of the Borno State Governor, Engr. Dr Habiba Babagana Umara Zulum, has been conferred with the prestigious Fellowship of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE).

The honour was awarded during the NSE Fellowship Conferment Ceremony held in Ibadan, Oyo State.

According to organisers of the event, the conferment recognises her outstanding contributions to engineering practice, professional development and community service. 

Engr. Dr Habiba Zulum, an accomplished engineer and strong advocate for women in STEM, was celebrated for her leadership and commitment to capacity building.

During the ceremony, the NSE also announced that its next fellowship conference will be hosted in Borno State—an endorsement seen as a milestone for the state’s growing profile in engineering and technological advancement.

The event brought together top engineering professionals, policymakers and industry leaders.
