Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have neutralised ten insurgents and recovered a cache of weapons and equipment in a night ambush along the Gamboru–Dikwa–Marte axis of Borno State.
The operation, conducted around 11:50 p.m. on October 25, 2025, was carried out by troops of Sector 1, 24 Task Force Brigade, following an earlier offensive that eliminated over 50 terrorists at the Katarko axis.
In a statement on Sunday, Lt Col Sani Uba, Media Information Officer of Operation HADIN KAI, said the troops intercepted the terrorists attempting to infiltrate Gamboru Ngala from the Flatari area.
“The unit delivered heavy and accurate suppressive fire, forcing the insurgents to flee in disarray,” Uba stated.
At dawn, a clearance operation confirmed the death of ten terrorists and the recovery of five AK-47 rifles, one PKT machine gun, three dane guns, two fabricated pistols, five AK magazines, linked ammunition, motorcycles, bicycles, and other personal effects.
The military high command commended the troops for their gallantry and tactical precision, describing the success as a testament to the “effectiveness of sustained counter-insurgency operations” in the Northeast.
Lt Col Uba reaffirmed the military’s commitment to maintaining offensive actions, protecting civilians, and restoring peace across the region.
